This is an opportunity to share with you just how good an operator Ken Caldwell is.
For many years, we as a company struggled with both quality and attention to detail in our older-style units. So crucial is it that we match the old and create joinery that will last for generations.
Our past issues included:
Joinery that didn’t fit.
Joinery coming to site unprimed and unsealed.
Joinery heights that were wrong.
Materials used that were poor or would fail later.
Poor construction techniques.
So where’s the point of difference with Nick's Timber Joinery team? Plenty, and that’s why they have been our main suppliers for close to 20 years.
Suppliers of our double-hung joinery units, all our exterior bungalow and villa joinery items, makers of all our interior villa and bungalow doors and windows, and some superb modern entrance and castle-style doors for our modern architectural new builds. Not to mention matching timbers in many sizes for much of the odd work we do.
From the outset, we discuss detail between us. Not what the architect has drawn, but what we are matching, or what and where it is going into. Looking at the detail. Understanding it all. Matching the head heights, the sill heights, the door styles. The old to match the new. That is why we do it so well together. We are both professionals. No guessing. The details must be right.
Also, the finish must be superb. The team in the shop do only the best work, ensuring the quality of the product is outstanding. Always pre-primed, and with Ken recently updating his spray booth, they also offer top-coating options, which can save time on jobs where painters are expensive, time is tight, and scaffolding overruns can sure add up.
Great team. Highly recommend them.
